Refereeing in Las Cruces and Southern NM

Soccer referees in Las Cruces and Southwest New Mexico work as independent contractors for several leagues and organizations.

• • The LAS CRUCES YOUTH SOCCER LEAGUE (website) uses USSF-certified referees on U10-U18 games. They play spring and fall seasons.

  • The NEW MEXICO ACTIVITIES ASSOCIATION (website) administers high school soccer in New Mexico and has its own registration process. The season runs from August to early November. Las-Cruces based referees officiate at schools from Truth or Consequences to Chaparral and from Silver City to Ruidoso.

  • The MESILLA VALLEY SOCCER LEAGUE (website) uses USSF-certified referees for full-sided and short-sided leagues for men and women. They play spring, summer (coed) and fall seasons.

  • The LAS CRUCES PUBLIC SCHOOLS uses USSF-certified referees in its middle school soccer leagues. Boys play in the fall and girls play in the spring.

  • Our most experienced referees officiate pro, semi-pro and college soccer, including games played by the NMSU WOMEN'S SOCCER TEAM and the NMSU MEN'S UDA PROGRAM.
